Sweden is not so far from the mainland of Europe as you might think!.
By car the quickest way is to take the night boat service Kiel (Germany) - Göteborg ( Sweden ) in 14 hours. Or Puttgarden ( Germany ) - Rodbyhavn ( Denmark ) in 1 hour or Helsingor ( Denmark) - Helsingborg ( Sweden) in 25 minutes. (www.pp-reisen.com)
To reach Kiel you follow the Elbetunnel in Hamburg and highway A7, near AB-Dreieck Boreshlm road 215 to Kiel.
Nearby Göteborg the boat sails by the 17th century fortress Nya Älvsborg. This fortress played an important role in the struggle between Denmark and Sweden.
The 3rd alternative is taking the Öresundsbridge over the Sont. At Hamburg you follow the E45 to Flensburg ( Danmark ).Near Kolding you follow road E20 direction Odense and Copenhagen. From Copenhagen you take the bridge to Mälmo ( Sweden ) and follow the highway E20/E6 to ( Olso) Göteborg.
Of course it is also possible to travel by air. KLM and SAS have regular flying services to Gardemoen ( Norway), the closest airport to Norstugan ( Koppom ).
There is a regular bus service from Gardemoen to Kongsvinger-Charlottenberg-Arvika-Koppom.
If you want to travel via Puttgarden, in Hamburg you stay on highway A1 (E22) and drive via Lübeck to the island Fehman. Every 30 minutes their sails a ferryboat to Rodbyhavn ( Danmark ). In Danmark you follow road E47/E55 to Helsingor. From this beautiful place, the ferries go with high frequency, to Helsingborg in Sweden.
Driving from the middle of Holland to Koppom, takes roughly 14 hours, inclusive some breaks.
The Mölle SweCamp, ( nearby Helsingborg ), is a good place to stay when you want to camp halfway.
