Eurovision Semi-Final 1 countries and running order as Norway, Greece and others aim for final
The Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will go down properly on Tuesday evening, when a number of well-imagined countries will aim to live up to expectations and qualify for the final.
After being canceled in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, Eurovision made a triumphant return last year, albeit socially distanced with a smaller crowd, as rock band Mansekin claimed victory for the Italy, ahead of France and Switzerland. Their win means Italy host Eurovision 2022, with the action centering on Turin’s Pala Olimpico arena and this year’s Eurovision hosts including popstar Mika.
At the time of this writing, Eurovision odds had Ukraine as the odds on the favorites to triumph in Saturday’s grand final, ahead of the UK and Italy, the latter two being very close in the bets. And, while Britain’s Sam Ryder and Italy’s Mahmood and Blanco have automatic places in the final, Ukraine must qualify for the semi-finals.
